Deze reserva tinto is een blend van typische druivenrassen uit de Douro: touriga nacional, touriga franca, tinta roriz, tinta barocca en tinto cao. Sinds 2001 wordt deze wijn jaarlijks gemaakt. Althans, sindsdien werd hij op de markt gebracht. De familie maakt hem al sinds 1980.
Deze reserva tinto heeft best wat structuur, maar tegelijkertijd is de tannine rijp en ondersteunend. Het mooie aan Dona Berta is dat zij de wijnen op de markt brengen wanneer zij vinden dat deze er klaar voor zijn. En dus wordt er een paar jaar gewacht. 2017 is de meest recente jaargang die op de markt aanwezig is. De wijn heeft goede zuren en bezit een forse portie donker fruit.

Color: between deep ruby and deep garnet. On the nose lots of dark fruit and spicyness in the netteté, after swirling black cherries, thyme, pepper, dried herbs, fried bacon, vanilla, palo santo. On the palate black cherries, blackberries, some sweetness, coffee, chocolate, etherical wood, pepper, dried herbs. Medium acidity, medium++ body, soft integrated tannins, medium+ alcohol, medium+ aftertaste. A very fruity, velvetty, dark wine with long legs in the glass, still young and powerfull but friendly and with enough potential to develop the years to come.
